Wuthering Waves 3.6 Events Guide: All 6 Events & Rewards
Version 3.6 ships with six special events, and Kuro has only published details for a few of them. Here is every event in the patch with what is confirmed, what is not, and how to plan around it.
The six events at a glance
The official 3.6 update maintenance notice (August 13) lists the full event lineup for the patch. Names and event types are official. Everything else below is what each source actually confirms, and nothing more.
| Event | Type | Confirmed so far |
|---|---|---|
| Resonance Sim Realm | Combat | Gives the "Resonance! Best Combo" title and a Phantom Echo of Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis |
| Gifts of Drifting Mist | 7-day login | Daily login rewards; the list itself is not published |
| Wuthering Exploration: Fogveil Pagoda | Exploration | Recurring survey-task event, Union Level 14, two tasks a day |
| Second Coming of Solaris: Coded Deception | Leisure | Nothing published yet |
| If Dreams Still Reverberate | Co-op combat | Nothing published yet |
| The Strings Remember | Leisure | Nothing published yet |
The notice ends its event section with a standard line: stay tuned for the release notes. That is where the missing dates and reward tables will come from, probably alongside the in-game Events page when 3.6 goes live on August 20.
What the official notice actually confirms
For two events the notice gives real substance. Resonance Sim Realm is the patch's combat event, and it hands out two collectibles: the "Resonance! Best Combo" title and the Phantom Echo of Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis. Both are listed in the notice's "Other New Content" section with an explicit note that they are obtained by participating in the event. The same boss appears as the new Tactical Hologram: Sparring challenge, so expect to fight Rustfire Chassis more than once this patch.
Gifts of Drifting Mist is described outright as a 7-day login event. Log in each day, collect the day's reward. That is the whole confirmed mechanic. The reward list, including how many Astrites it pays out, is not in the notice, so treat any specific number you see floating around as unverified until the release notes land.
The remaining three events are name and type only. That is not a reason to ignore them, it is just the honest state of the information. In 3.5, the detailed event announcements and the compiled roundup arrived after the patch launched rather than before it.
Wuthering Exploration: Fogveil Pagoda
Wuthering Exploration is the one 3.6 event with fully documented mechanics, because it is a recurring event type. The Fandom wiki records seven previous runs between Version 1.0 (June 2024) and Version 2.5 (August 2025). The format has stayed consistent:
- Requires Union Level 14 to participate.
- Two survey tasks are available each day, and they refresh at 04:00 server time.
- Completing tasks earns Survey Points, and hitting milestones pays out rewards.
- Unclaimed Survey Points are auto-claimed at the daily refresh, so there is no hoarding mechanic.
- Any unclaimed milestone rewards are mailed to your inbox when you next log in, within 30 days of the event ending.
The 3.6 run is the first themed one, named after Fogveil Pagoda, which the wiki lists as an area of Eastern Xuan Peaks in Huanglong. Survey-task events reward daily play more than intensity: twenty minutes most days beats one marathon session, since the tasks cap at two per day.
Second Coming of Solaris: Coded Deception
The title is a callback. Version 2.6 ran "Back to Solaris", a web event where players invited up to three returning Rovers and earned up to 480 Astrites and 300,000 Shell Credits, per the wiki's record of that event (it required Union Level 8).
That does not mean 3.6's version works the same way. Kuro categorizes "Second Coming of Solaris: Coded Deception" as a leisure event, not a web event, and has published nothing about its mechanics, duration, or rewards. The "Coded Deception" subtitle suggests a puzzle angle, but that is reading the name, not reporting a fact. Plan around it existing; do not plan around what it pays.
What is still missing
Three gaps matter if you are budgeting time or Astrites. First, no event has a start or end date yet. The maintenance notice never gives them, and the wiki has not created 3.6 event pages as of this writing. Second, reward lists are unpublished for every event except the two collectibles in Resonance Sim Realm. Third, Kuro has not posted the usual mid-version events roundup. For reference, 3.5's official "Upcoming Events" notice went out on July 28, roughly two and a half weeks after that patch launched. On the same cadence, expect a 3.6 roundup in early September. That is a pattern-based expectation, not an official date.
How to plan your 3.6 events
The patch runs about six weeks, from August 20 to early October by the cadence of the last several versions, with Phase 2 banners expected around September 9 if 3.6 follows 3.5's 20-day phase pattern. Events sit inside that window.
Practical order of operations:
- Log in daily. Gifts of Drifting Mist is a login event, and Wuthering Exploration caps at two tasks per day. Both reward consistency over grinding. If you only log in twice a week, you are leaving the event's daily rewards on the table.
- Clear Resonance Sim Realm for the collectibles. The title and the Phantom Echo are the only confirmed event rewards in the whole patch, and they are time-limited by definition.
- Do not reshape your pull plan around unannounced events. Nothing in the confirmed list costs pull currency, and there is no evidence of an event shop. Your banner budget should follow the 3.6 preview and the Qingxiao banner guide, not speculation about event rewards.
- Watch the official news page and the in-game Events tab after launch. That is where dates appear first, and the 3.5 pattern says a compiled roundup follows in a few weeks.
If you are new to the game or returning after a break, the patch-day guide covers maintenance times, compensation, and the first-hour checklist, and how many Astrites a patch pays gives you the income baseline for planning.
FAQ
Six: Resonance Sim Realm (combat), Gifts of Drifting Mist (7-day login), Wuthering Exploration: Fogveil Pagoda (exploration), Second Coming of Solaris: Coded Deception (leisure), If Dreams Still Reverberate (co-op combat), and The Strings Remember (leisure). Names and types are from the official maintenance notice.
No dates have been announced. The official notice lists the events but points to the release notes for details. Watch the in-game Events page at launch; 3.5's compiled events notice came about two and a half weeks after that patch started.
By participating in the Resonance Sim Realm combat event. The official notice lists both as rewards for that event.
It is a recurring survey-task event. You need Union Level 14, get two survey tasks per day (refreshing at 04:00 server time), earn Survey Points for milestone rewards, and any unclaimed rewards are mailed to you within 30 days of the event ending.
Unclear. Version 2.6's "Back to Solaris" was a web event worth up to 480 Astrites, but 3.6's version is listed as a leisure event and Kuro has not published its details. Do not assume the same mechanics or rewards.
