One week left: every 3.5 banner that ends August 19

Version 3.5 ("Blade of Past Resounds, Lingering Dream Hymns") runs July 10 to August 20, but its banners don't last that long. All four limited convenes below close at 11:59 server time on August 19:

Suisui arrived in Phase 2 of 3.5 on July 30. She's a Glacio support who heals and amplifies damage, and her signature rectifier Firstlight's Herald is built for exactly that job: it rolls Energy Regen as its secondary stat, and at rank 1 it can raise the ATK of nearby teammates by 20% once you've triggered both of its effects. If you run a healer in every team, that weapon is one of the more generically useful supports to own.

The two Reverb banners are worth understanding even if you skip them. Starpath Reverbs and Tideforge Reverbs both let you select one target from a fixed lineup, and the guarantee rules differ slightly. On Starpath, every 5★ has a 50% chance to be your pick, and if it isn't, the next 5★ is guaranteed to be. On Tideforge, it's stronger: every 5★ weapon you pull is your selected weapon. Either way, pity carries over between banners of the same Reverb type, so an unlucky run isn't wasted. That's the fairest deal the game offers for chasing a specific older character or weapon, with one catch: you have to actually want one of the six on offer.

Version 3.6 at a glance

3.6 goes live August 20 at 10:00 (UTC+8). It's the 21st version update, and the official preview (linked in Sources below) confirms the full lineup:

Qingxiao: Aero sword in Phase 1

Qingxiao is a 5★ Aero user with a sword, introduced in the story as the Paragon of Mengzhou. Her banner, Wind of Transcendence, opens in Phase 1 on August 20, and her signature weapon is the 5★ sword Glint of Clouds.

Full kit numbers drop with the patch, and I'm not going to guess at them here. What's confirmed is a fast sword fighter with an Aero identity, which matters for team building: Aero teams run their own dedicated supports and echoes. If you're sitting on a 50/50 guarantee, she's the lower-risk pick of the two new characters, because Phase 1 means you can read her full kit at release and still have all of 3.6's income banked if you decide to pass.

Jingran: Fusion broadblade in Phase 2

Jingran is the other new 5★: a Fusion Broadblade user whose whole presentation leans into the underworld ("Straight to the underworld... Couldn't have asked for better."). His banner, Where Santu Beckons, runs in Phase 2, with the broadblade Thousandfold Deliverance as his signature.

The exact Phase 2 start date gets confirmed in the in-game notice closer to the time. Going by the usual schedule (3.5's Phase 2 began 20 days into the patch), expect him around mid-September. Plan around that, not around a specific date.

The reruns: Denia, Hiyuki, Mornye

• Denia (5★ Fusion Rectifier, debuted May 21, 2026) — False Promise for Tomorrow, Phase 1. A Fusion burst character with concerto-efficiency tricks; if you missed her in 3.3, this is the comeback.
• Hiyuki (5★ Glacio Sword main DPS, debuted April 30, 2026) — Thousand Futures Mirrored in Snow, Phase 2. A Glacio damage dealer who runs her own liberation-heavy rotation.
• Mornye (5★ Fusion Broadblade support/healer, debuted January 15, 2026) — Distant May the Starlights Be, Phase 2. A Fusion healer who also amplifies damage, a role combination that keeps showing up in endgame teams.

One pattern stands out: three of the five characters in 3.6 are Fusion users. If your roster is already Fusion-heavy, Qingxiao's Aero identity becomes more valuable than her raw kit suggests, just for coverage.

Pull plan: what to save

Numbers first. A fully active F2P account earns roughly 10,900 Astrite per patch, about 68 pulls (see the Astrite per patch breakdown). Hard pity sits at 80 pulls with soft pity kicking in from pull 66 (pity system explained), and losing a 50/50 guarantees your next featured character (how the 50/50 works). A full guarantee is 160 pulls, roughly two and a half patches of saving.

The honest math for 3.6: you can guarantee one new character, not both. Which one?

• If you don't have a strong Aero DPS, Qingxiao is the low-risk pull: her kit is public from day one of the patch, so you decide with full information.
• If your account is Fusion-poor, Jingran gives you a modern Fusion broadblade main DPS, but you'll wait until Phase 2 for him.
• If you're missing a healer, Suisui is still on sale until August 19, weapon banner included. That's a cheap way to close a roster gap without touching your 3.6 savings.
• Weapon banners stay a luxury for F2P. 80 pulls for a signature is a character you didn't get. The exception is Tideforge Reverbs while it lasts: with a selected guarantee and carry-over pity, it's the most predictable weapon banner the game runs.

One thing takes the pressure off: pity and the 50/50 guarantee carry across versions, so holding your Astrite until August 20 costs you nothing mechanically. The only real deadlines this week are the four banners ending on the 19th. If you're torn, wait. The banners you actually want are the ones that haven't opened yet.
