Wuthering Waves Denia Rerun Guide: Kit, Weapons & Pull Verdict
Denia, the 5★ Fusion Rectifier from Version 3.3, gets her first rerun on August 20 when Version 3.6 goes live. Her banner keeps the original name, False Promise for Tomorrow, and runs in Phase 1 alongside the new Aero sword user Qingxiao. Her signature weapon Forged Dwarf Star returns in the same phase.
The short version
If you skipped Denia when she debuted on May 21, 2026, this is the first chance to fix that, and it costs the same as any featured character banner: 0.8% base 5★ rate, 1.8% average with the guarantee, hard pity at 80 pulls (pity system explained), and the usual 50/50 with carry-over (see how the 50/50 works). Worst case, guaranteeing her costs 160 pulls, or 25,600 Astrite. If you are sitting on a guarantee, it is at most 80 pulls and 12,800.
The real question is whether you need what she sells. She is a burst damage dealer whose attacks mostly count as Resonance Liberation damage, she pulls enemies into groups, and her second mode turns her into a team buffer. My honest read: she is the best Fusion damage option for players who skipped her in 3.3, and a softer sell if you already have Lupa or Brant built.
When the Denia rerun runs
| Banner | What you can get | Window (Phase 1 of 3.6) |
|---|---|---|
| False Promise for Tomorrow (Featured Resonator Convene) | Denia (5★ Fusion Rectifier) + featured 4★ lineup | Starts August 20, 2026, 10:00 (UTC+8); end time confirmed in the in-game notice |
| Absolute Pulsation: Forged Dwarf Star (Featured Weapon Convene) | Forged Dwarf Star (5★ Rectifier, Denia's signature) | Same Phase 1 window |
Version 3.6 launches August 20 at 10:00 (UTC+8), per the official release notice; for the full 3.6 lineup, see the version 3.6 preview. Denia's first banner ran May 21 to June 7, 2026 in Version 3.3 with Chixia, Buling and Yangyang as the boosted 4★s (official convene notice). The rerun's 4★ lineup is announced in the official notice when the banner opens.
Phase 1 typically lasts about 20 days: 3.5's Phase 2 opened on July 30, exactly 20 days after the July 10 launch. By that pattern, Phase 2 of 3.6 starts around September 9, and that is when Denia's banner leaves. Treat the exact end date as unconfirmed until the in-game notice appears.
Who Denia is
Denia is a student in Startorch Academy's Department of Voidmatters, and by her own official profile, "a professional slacker who has mastered the art of dozing through courses." The less sleepy part of her file: she secretly works for the Fractsidus, was created by Schwarzloch to become the Resonator of the Threnodian Aleph-1, and is determined to use her gift to protect the people closest to her, whatever it costs.
Voice-wise she is played by Jodie Bell Cortez in English and Itō Miku in Japanese. Her combat tags, straight from the wiki: Concerto Efficiency, Resonance Liberation Damage, Traction, Fusion Burst, and Tune Break Boost.
How her kit actually works
Denia juggles two forms. Stagecraft builds resources, Breakdown spends them. The short version of the loop: attack in Stagecraft to stock Void Particle, swap to Breakdown, and dump everything into her liberation, which hits as Resonance Liberation damage and builds toward a bigger finisher.
| Mechanic | What it does (wiki data) |
|---|---|
| Entropy Shift: Breakdown Form | +30% ATK for 12s, gained by casting her liberation in Stagecraft |
| Void Particle (max 100) | In Breakdown, normal attacks consume it: damage counts as Resonance Liberation DMG with a +50% multiplier, and Conformal Charge builds twice as fast |
| Dark Cores (max 3) | One every 12s in Entropy Shift; Banish Stage 2 consumes them for +150% damage multiplier per core |
| Final Act (Breakdown Form) | The finisher: consumes 100 Conformal Charge plus Void Particle |
| Resonance Mode: Fusion Burst | Stacks Fusion Burst on enemies (max 10); full stacks detonate into AoE Fusion damage |
| Resonance Mode: Tune Strain | Inflicts Tune Strain - Shifting; her Outro converts it to Tune Strain - Interfered (30s) for teammates that respond to it |
Two numbers matter most. First, most of her Breakdown-form damage counts as Resonance Liberation damage, so Liberation DMG buffs hit her unusually hard. Second, her Outro skill (Unfinished Lies) decides what the next character does: in Fusion Burst mode she amplifies Fusion Burst damage by 60% for 30s, and in Tune Strain mode she amplifies the incoming resonator's damage by 15% for 16s, upgraded to 40% if that resonator applies Tune Strain - Shifting.
Her inherent skill Etched Colors adds the team-wide layer: in Fusion Burst mode the whole team gets +30% Fusion DMG Bonus, and in Tune Strain mode the team gets +10 Tune Break Boost (up to +40 depending on the target's Off-Tune Buildup Rate). So she is not a pure selfish DPS. Built for it, she carries a support mode that most damage dealers do not have.
Her weapon: Forged Dwarf Star
Forged Dwarf Star is a 5★ Rectifier with Crit. Rate as its secondary stat, 500 base ATK at level 90 (wiki table). At rank 1, Dissolution gives +12% ATK, and after Denia inflicts Fusion Burst or Tune Strain - Shifting she gains +36% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus for 5s. While that window is up, any teammate who inflicts those states gets ATK +24% for 15s.
That team-wide ATK buff is the reason to pull the pair instead of just the character. It is also why the weapon banner here is a fairer deal than most: featured weapon banners have no 50/50, so a 5★ is always Forged Dwarf Star, at 80-pull hard pity (see the weapon banner guide). If you skip it, a rectifier with a Crit secondary stat covers the personal damage, but the team buff is gone.
Where she fits in teams
The Fusion roster going into 3.6 is small and mostly melee: Lupa (Fusion Broadblade, July 2025), Brant (Fusion Sword, March 2025), Mornye (Fusion Broadblade support/healer, January 2026, rerunning in 3.6 Phase 2) and the incoming Jingran (Fusion Broadblade, 3.6 Phase 2). Denia is the only Fusion Rectifier in the game right now, and the only Fusion unit built around Liberation damage and the Tune mechanic.
The safest pairing is Mornye, who reruns in the same patch and covers healing and damage buffs while Denia does the damage. In her Tune Strain mode, Denia slots into teams built around the 3.x Tune Break system, where her Outro converts Tune Strain - Shifting into Interfered and amplifies whoever comes in next by up to 40%.
Should you pull?
The case for pulling: it is her first rerun, three months after debut, and there is no guarantee of a quick second one. She is the only Fusion Rectifier DPS, so she opens a weapon type and a rotation style the rest of the Fusion roster does not offer. And her signature weapon turns a personal damage pick into a team ATK buff, which ages well.
The case against: Phase 2 of the same patch brings Jingran, a new Fusion Broadblade, and if you already have a built Fusion DPS the overlap is real. Qingxiao in Phase 1 is also new and covers Aero, a different element entirely. Denia's kit is unchanged on rerun, so nothing about her is FOMO except the wait itself.
My take: pull if you skipped 3.3 and want a Fusion damage dealer you can build the day the patch lands. Skip if your Fusion slot is filled and your Astrite is earmarked for Qingxiao or Jingran. A full patch of income is around 12,000-14,000 Astrite, so a worst-case guarantee is a real chunk of a patch budget, not pocket change.
What to farm before August 20
Per the wiki's upgrade tables, fully ascending Denia (0✦ to 6✦) takes 170,000 Shell Credits, 46 Burning Judgment, 60 Dream of Stars, and Mech Cores (4 LF, 12 MF, 12 HF, 4 FF). Her main Forte (level 1 to 10) costs 280,000 Shell Credits, String materials (5 Spliced, 5 Broken, 8 Solidified, 11 Melodic), Mech Cores, and 4 We Who Question.
The full table lives on the wiki's Denia/Combat page (sources below). If you are pre-farming, the boss materials are the bottleneck worth starting early; the rest you will accumulate while doing normal dailies.
Frequently asked questions
Phase 1 of Version 3.6, starting August 20, 2026 at 10:00 (UTC+8). Following the usual ~20-day phase pattern, it ends around September 9; the exact time comes from the in-game notice.
Hard pity is 80 pulls, with the 50/50 and guarantee carry-over between featured resonator banners. Worst case is 160 pulls (25,600 Astrite). If you are on guarantee, at most 80 pulls (12,800).
Main damage dealer in Fusion Burst mode, where most of her damage counts as Resonance Liberation damage. In Tune Strain mode she becomes a damage amplifier (15%, up to 40%) and a Tune Break enabler. Her official tags list both Resonance Liberation Damage and Tune Break Boost.
No changes have been announced. She reruns as the Version 3.3 version, and her sequences (Wavebands) work as usual.
It is a Crit. Rate rectifier whose rank-1 effect adds a team-wide ATK +24% buff for 15s. For personal damage it is a standard signature weapon; the team buff is what separates it from generic alternatives.
