How to Check Your Pity in Wuthering Waves

Your pity count is one menu away. Here's exactly where to find it — and what to do with the number once you have it.

Step by step: find your pity count

  1. Open the game and tap the Convene icon on the main menu (the gacha button).
  2. On any banner, tap the History or Details button (bottom of the banner screen).
  3. Look for Convene History — it lists your past pulls with a counter.
  4. The number shown is your current pity: pulls since your last 5★.

The history also shows your last 5★ result — if the most recent 5★ was a standard character (off-banner), you're currently on the guaranteed featured track. If it was the rate-up, your next 5★ is back to a 50/50.

Reading the number

Pity countWhat it means
0 – 65Base 0.8% rate per pull.
66 – 79Soft pity — rate climbs ~6% per pull.
80Hard pity — 5★ guaranteed this pull.

Plug your number into the pity calculator to see your exact odds over any number of pulls — including whether your budget covers the guarantee.

Why it matters

Wuthering Waves pity carries over between character event banners. If you're at 65 pity and the current banner's character doesn't interest you, those 65 pulls are still "banked" — the next character banner starts 65 deep, one pull from soft pity. Checking your pity before every banner is the cheapest habit in the game: it turns guesswork into a decision. Want to see the exact probabilities at each count? Our pity chart lists the odds from pull 1 to 80, and the 50/50 guide explains what your last 5★ result means for the guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

How many pulls to soft pity?
